Application Fee, Transportation Fee & Deposit

An Application Fee of $100 must accompany each enrollment. This is a nonrefundable charge that does not apply toward tuition and is required at the time of enrollment. If enrolling on a course 60 days or more before the course begins, students are required to pay a tuition deposit of $500. For Semester, Instructor and International courses, students are required to pay a tuition deposit of $700. In addition to the application fee and tuition deposit, students are required to pay a $100 transportation fee.

The total payment due up enrollment 60 days or more before course start is $500. For semester, instructor and international courses payment is $700.

If enrolling less than 60 days before course start, all fees and full tuition are due immediately.

Course Reservation Policy

Your Application Fee, Transportation Fee, and tuition deposit reserves your space on a course up to 60 days before course start. Full tuition and completed confidentiality information or medical information forms are due 60 days before course start to hold your position on course. If you apply fewer than 60 days before course start, full tuition, transportation fee, and application fee are due upon registration.

If you enroll fewer than 30 days before course start, you may incur a $15-20 overnight delivery charge for admission materials.

Upon enrollment or receipt of your application, we will mail you a detailed packet of enrollment materials. This packet will include the times, dates and location of where to be when your course starts and ends as well as a list of the clothing and gear we require for your course that you bring with you. We encourage all students to have a valid e-mail account for us to send out enrollment materials through. Until your confidentiality information forms or medical information forms have been reviewed, approved and all necessary forms have been signed and returned to Outward Bound, your admission is pending.

This is our policy in order to ensure that everyone’s experience on course will be heightened and group dynamics are not interfered with.

Youth Courses

Youth courses ages 14-17 are within the constant supervision of at least 2 instructors. Although the courses are unisex, males and females are separated for personal hygiene purposes and sleeping arrangements.

Instructor/Student Ratio

Course groups consist of 12 students and 2 - 3 instructors. Throughout a course, depending on activities, more instructors may join a group on certain days. There are no less than 2 instructors on any course at any given time. Both male and female instructors can be assigned to courses.
