Why did you choose to join Outward Bound?
I wanted to work and learn through the wilderness, surround myself with adventure, meet new people and have chances to travel.
What's the most rewarding aspect of working for Outward Bound?
One of the most rewarding parts of working for OB is that I learn so much and something different every single time I instruct a course. It's refreshing!
What are your favorite moments on course?
When people start getting comfortable in the woods and move about confidently with all of their new skills. When the crew creates a completely brand new meal and everyone cheers and chows down!
Tell us about a recent accomplishment or adventure:
I had adventurous times between courses this summer and fall paddling a ton of white water with a bunch of good folks on beautiful rives in the south east.
Do you get any specific cravings while you are on course?
I crave music, hula hooping, my good buddies, and soy chai tea with a shot of espresso.
What hobbies or activities to you do in your free time?
Even in my free time I love to take big hikes and paddling trips with friends. I also hang out in coffee shops a lot, reading magazines, writing tons of letters and making jewelry. I love to see live music and art shows.
